The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture is a special place.
UTIA's Agricultural & Resource Economics Department is grateful for the support we receive from alumni and friends. Our threefold mission includes:
- Research, to push the science of economics forward
- Extension, to direct research to farm families and businesses that can benefit from our science and education
- Teaching, to educate our future leaders
We offered forty-three scholarships to incoming Agriculture & Resource Economics freshman this year thanks to donor support. Please consider a gift to this fund to help us continue the legacy of student support.
Support our graduate students. Your gift can help fund travel to regional and national conferences or provide stipends. Help our graduate students participate in teaching and research opportunities beyond the classroom.
Beloved professor Dr. John Riley was best known for his tireless efforts on behalf of students. Through his estate, he established an endowment to support the department's National Agricultural Marketing Association team. Honor his legacy by helping to fund our NAMA students in perpetuity.
Thanks to our donors, this is a time of unparalleled success for the Institute. With your support, we can achieve continued greatness.
Whether or not you can contribute to one or more of our funding programs, please feel free to contact me to discuss our department. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss our programs with you, or take you on a tour of our department if you drop by the third floor of Morgan Hall.
