Promoting Hands-On Learning

Support UTIAHands-on learning experiences are crucial for UTIA students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR), College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and Tennessee 4-H. Our graduates face a fast-changing society; to ensure their successes we must instill in them the skills to adapt to and drive the change.

Through the relevant, real-life learning opportunities we offer outside the classroom, our students put knowledge gained via traditional methods to practical use. In this way, we prepare our students for the real world and heighten their status in the eyes of potential employers, while also helping UTIA achieve its mission of teaching, research and outreach for the people of Tennessee.
